questions from essine!
  • What is your most prized possession? oh golly, that is a really hard question...i would have to say my letter from pete townshend's assistant. I wrote pete a while ago and I basically told him how much the who's music meant to me and how i'm young and misunderstood blahblahblah and about half a year later i got a reply!!!
  • What if your favorite kind of dance (Tap dance, jazz, The Twist, Gangnam Style, etc.)? the twist :-)
  • Who is your style icon? okay, i CANNOT name one person. right now it's twiggy, marianne faithfull, lana del rey, noel fielding, and edie sedgwick
  • What if your favorite kind of pizza? gluten-free(!) extra cheese, thick crust
  • What if the worst trend that happened when you were in middle school? oh gosh, there were SOOO many. I'd have to say sweatpants and ugg boots, and the worst part is people still dress like that...but at least they're happy (i think)
  • Are you a feminist? if i said no i wouldn't be a woman(/teen girl/lady/whatevs)!!! i mean, don't get me wrong some sexist jokes and pretty funny, but i CANNOT stand people who don't believe in equal rights.
  • Have you made any blog friends? UH YEAH. I met one of my best friends on the internet, actually, and there's a loooooooooooooot more i've met that i adore
  • What modern day celebrity annoys you the most? hmm, this is a really interesting question...I'd have to say chelsea handler for many reasons. she's not funny, she's very offensive in a really negative way, and she's just straight out disgusting
  • If you could wear one pair of shoes for the rest of your life, what would they be? DON'T DO THIS TO ME. i'd probably say my bass red and white oxfords
  • If you could be an ice cream flavor, what would you be? butterscotch!
  • Who is the most famous person you've ever met? ozzy osbourne. yup, i met the prince of darkness. it was a book signing for his new book (trust me, i'm dr. ozzy) and it was in my town which is in the country- how weird! I wasn't complaining though. I decided to wear my round blue tinted sunglasses to honor ozzy but not copy him, and when i get up to meet him HE IS WEARING BLUE TINTED GLASSES TOO!!!! He looked up and smiled, then said, "i like your glasses" in his cute little old man british accent. twas a great day for me~

    what's in the box?!

what i'm i even doing in these pictures
make-up is obviously only for squares (i would've put some on but you know how it is at five in the morning)

aww yeah my tv necklace flashes when you press the button (and it also makes a really terrifying poltergeist-worthy noise)
headband: miracle eye, necklace: etsy, dress: vintage, sweater: forever 21, rings (from left to right): craft show, gift, grandmother's, grandmother's, another one of gram's, vintage, ebay, shoes: forever 21
I really want to wear this outfit everyday for the rest of my life. It's very unconventional for me, but I really really like it (and it's extremely comfortable). I wore this when I went to a friend's house and saw the Hobbit (which I was sadly disappointed, but I won't get into to that. not here, not now). On a random note: I'm going to try and grow my nails out. I honestly don't think I'll make it past a week, but we'll see~ Also I looooooved the Golden Globes last night! GO QUENTIN TARANTINO AND CHRISTOPH WALTZ AND ADELE AND EVERYONE (except you les mis). Don't worry guys, one day Leonardo DiCaprio will get his award. Thanks to the awards last night I really want to see the HBO series Girls. I've heard about it before and it caught my interest...
Anywho, the other day my lovely aunt gave me a buuuuunch of her and my great aunt's stuff! Including Bugs Bunny sneakers, a lot of 45 records, belts, ascots, tops, detachable collars, and gloves!
soooo many good 45s!! Elton John, Sammy Davis Jr, Paul McCartney, Doobie Brothers, and so so so many more
this furry mess is the best sweater ever, your argument is invalid
     THE BEST SNEAKERS EVER
this belt was my great aunt's and it's from the early 1950's. i seriously feel like elizabeth taylor owned this
     ALLLLLL THE ASCOTS!
     collars!!
my great aunt's gloves from the fifties *cries*
She wanted to give all this stuff to goodwill, but don't worry I saved it ♡ By the way, I'm sorry for not posting that much lately, I've been swamped with school. Oh, I forgot to add this in so this is an EDIT to this post. I've been digging certain songs lately so take a listen if you'd like~

    (my life story)

    Love always,

    school's out forever

First off, Happy New Years! Unfortunately school has in session again, but just a few more months and I'm free!! (then i get to return in august, ~~~yay~~~) On the bright side, whenever school starts back up I get really into the old high school vibes. Even though I'm mad at John Hughes for lying about high school, I still feel like I'm in my own ~John Hughes~ film or even a John Waters one. I don't know what it is, but I have this thing where I witness a lot of odd moments and sometimes they even happen to me. In a way it keeps high school interesting and bearable, but on the other hand: it makes me want to stay home and blog where it's safe. And doesn't everyone hate that tired feeling you get when you come home? I mean, you SIT all day long and it tires you out...I don't understand. I didn't include all of my favorite high school vibes, but I tried to include my top 6. If any of you cool cats want to know the other high school vibes I'm into click here. Above is Heathers, Cry Baby, Twin Peaks (just got into, and I LOVE it!), Hairspray (original), Pretty In Pink, and Freaks and Geeks.

whatever - gnarls barkley save me - queen rock 'n' roll high school - the ramones stupid girl - the rolling stones my generation - the who high school hellcats - james intveld  all dressed up for school - the beach boys fairfax rag - harry nilsson rock star - hole i'm a loser - marianne faithfull
fake friends - joan jett and the blackhearts i'm bored - the bonzo dog band
another brick in the wall, part 2 - pink floyd

these pictures were taken foreeeeevvvvveeeerrr ago, but my lovely pal, Cass, took these photos of moi. If you couldn't tell already it's a Wanda Woodward (Cry Baby) inspired thing going down here in funky town. okay wow, moving on (i need some sleep, hello world) jacket: sister's, top: vintage, pants: forever21, socks: target??, shoes: urban outfitters

this was from a few days ago, and this was a very c.1970's look based off of Millie (Freaks and Geeks). clip: grocery store, collarshirt: thrifted, Garth (Wayne's World) pin: diy, sweater: vintage, pants: vintage, shoes: old navy
alright, this is my femme-version of Duckie (Pretty In Pink) hat: gift, jacket: sister's, collarshirt: vintage, samuel l. jackson shirt: 6dollarshirts, skirt: vintage, tights: kohls???, shoes: urban outfitters

Oh wow, this post turned out to be super long. I hope all you cats enjoyed this, because it's one of my favorite I've done so far. I'd like to take this time to say thank you to all of my new followers! I really appreciate it, guys. ~you rock~
    Sinceriously,
    Tessa

p.s. "sinceriously" is a jeffery dallas thing
