save our children

♥ gifted beret Pac-Sun sunglasses ♥ vintage dress from Vida Antigua ♥ vintage pin ♥ estate sale rings ♥ eyeball lunch-kit turned into a purse from Hastings Forever21 belt  Kohl's socks Bass shoes
At first I thought all the red clashed with the pink in my hair, but it grew on me. I have been so busy lately, because of work, and planning everything for Europe, and a bunch of other stuff. That being said, I've got some great new items for the shop and my wardrobe, and my room is in shambles! I've also recently decided that I'm going to start filling in my eyebrows more. It's really grown on me, and I actually don't like how my eyebrows look when I don't fill them in now! The weather is getting warmer, and I still don't have an even tan on my legs.
I took this picture earlier today at this fundraiser my dad was a part of. I don't know why, but I really liked the aesthetic of this sign for it's simplicity and how it's slightly warn.  The more I looked at the sign, the more I noticed how you can vaguely see an 'X' over 'GOD.'
Packing!!! Today I discovered the magic of ziplock bags. I sucked out all the air and squished everything in the bags to have more room in my suitcase (because socks and undies take up way too much room lemme tell ya about it).
Some of these clothes I need to put in the shop, and others is just laundry I haven't put up. Like I said, my room is in shambles (and it's slowly killing me).
My dad and I went to quite a few garage sales and estate sales the past few days. Naturally, I got quite a few goodies for myself, including a vintage necklace and pin, estate costume jewelry, and a 1950's glasses sleeve.
I've also been on quite a book-buying kick, too. I'm starting to collect LIFE Nature/World Library books, because they are seriously the best thing ever (perfect pictures and fun facts).

Although everything is sort of hectic right now, all is well in the land of Texas. What about you cool cats? Leave a comment below telling me what you've been up to!

  1. Omg I love your cute lil' red outfit I think it all matches together and there's an element of cohesion about it. Also, lip game is strong. Also, your brows look really good filled in here. I normally don't really care for berets but yours looks awesome here <3

  4. Your always find the most perfect clothes! I love your dress! Old books are perfection. I used to hate old books because they were tattered but now it's like it adds to the story, shows they've been read and loved. That Palmistry book is beautiful. Also: in reply to your comment, I LOVE x infinity the 'BECAUSE IT'S SO MUCH FUN JAN!' interview hehe Have a great time in Europe too

  5. Such a cute outfit. I think the red works great with the pink in your hair, I'm a real fan of harmonising colours though. Great idea with the ziplock bags, there is literally nothing more annoying than packing and finding underwear takes up half the case leaving space for like one dress ! I will definitely be employing your tactic when I go on holiday. Lally XX

  7. The cohesiveness of your first outfit is out of this world. I adore the pink and the red together, and just wow, everything. Eyebrows!! I'm so jealous of them, they look so good! Mine are tiny little blond ones that you can't see and can barely fill in. It's a mess.

HAVE SO MUCH FUN ON YOUR TRIP!!!
