hello world, i'm your wild girl

pictures from tumblr
TEEN ANGST. We've all had it, and nearly everyone overcomes it (except people like adolf hitler...he was forever in the teen angst stage). I had it for a while, but it was mainly because of high school. I was also coping with all these new vitamins I have to take, because I happen to be allergic to basically everything (except dogs). Fortunately I got out of the poop-feeling spell thanks to music and pretty stuff (clothing, crafts, food, etc). There's this book by Ned Vizzini called Teen Angst...Nah! and it's an auto-biography about Ned being a teenager coping with angst. It's really good, so go get it, learn it, love it, live it. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Joan Jett and Cherie Curie know exactly what teen angst is (i just watched the runaways and OMG it was fantastic). They were so young when they started touring (lucky *sighs*) and making music and yeah, they were basically screaming "TEEN ANGST, YEAH WE HAVE IT" But hey they overcame it, too. Cherie is now a chainsaw sculpter and Joan still makes music and tours because she's a total bad ass babe. Below: bowling sweater thrifted, first time embroidery and a pencil I found of the floor today, a picture i took with these 3D glasses we have out during christmas time, playlist with good music.

  2. Not even kidding, Audrey's version of Moon River has been all I can listen to lately.

  3. I love the Runaways and the movie was great! I feel like one thing that was so awesome about them was that they didn't only say that they had teen angst, but the world had sort of accepted teenage boys to be angsty, but with girls it was sort of like you have to be perfect and smiling and pleasant all the time (and it's sort of still like this sometimes) and the Runaways came into the picture and said "No, we're teenage girls and we're full of angst too! Don't leave us out!" For that reason, I love them!
