hodge podge

flower crown: diy, necklace: etsy, top: wet seal, skirt: vintage, shoes: thrifted
Since it's the day after Independence Day lots of stores were having great sales! I went to Michaels and got a buuuuuunch of super awesome craft supplies and other stuff (like a $5 disposable camera!!!). The heat has sucked my will to live today which is alright, because tomorrow I get to work at the antique mall (where my antique booth is)!!! I'm really really excited, because it's my first job AND I GET PAID TO BE AROUND ANTIQUES ALL DAY LONG.
new pins on etsy! And more to come~ If anyone is in a custom pin from me feel free to message me!
fourth of july get-up, I'm in L-O-V-E with these clip on earrings! This fourth of July was really odd for me this year, but it was pretty decent overall. I gorged on BBQ chicken and corn and swam almost all day (until it started raining). I realize that this post is kind of a hodge podge of random things, but hey, not everything has to be organzied. Anywho below is some recent inspiration I've been digging (all from tumblr) so enjoy the pretty pictures!

if i were you i'd take a permanent vacation

super cute books from the 1970s about plants that were 80 cents each!
I was watching Moonrise Kingdom for the millionth time today, and for some reason it inspired me to re-do my room a bit. So I did just that! I switched my bookshelf with my record player/rolling stones cubby thing. While I was at it I cleaned my room and went through all my crap, and to my surprise I found a bunch of stuff I don't want anymore. But I also realized how many books/records/movies/magazines I own. WHICH IS TOTALLY OKAY, because I love them all. It's so odd, because my room feels so much better like this. Almost like it was almost meant to be in this order...I don't really know anything about feng shui, but maybe that has something to do with it. Anywho this is going to be a fairly short post, because I plan on making a big fat 4th of July inspo/outfit thing for tomorrow!

sorry for some of the photos being shaky (i drank too much coffee today)
instagram poop: being a loser at my antique booth (hat: vintage, top: f21, skirt: buffalo exchange), food I've consumed recently; Freebirds nachos, razzleberry pie, pistachio gelato, and poached pears at Grotto.

fun and quirky

crown: diy, POW! necklace: halloween store, jacket: forever21, dress: buffalo exchange, shoes: vintage, belt: gift/vintage
I got this AMAZING dress at buffalo exchange the other day and I am in L-O-V-E. Unfortunately it's pretty tight at the thighs so it's virtually impossible to bend/crouch/etc, but it's so worth it, because seriously just look at it. This outfit was ~inspired~ by Betsey Johnson, because I've been watching her tv show lately and I just really love her, okay? My recent inspiration has been lazy days, flowers, 1960s inspired things, and nature. Also I finally hopped on the bandwagon- you can follow me @bloglovin now! Well I really need to get some sleep, because tomorrow morning I'm seeing Star Trek with my grandma AND I AM SO EXCITED. (Chris Pine is such a babe) Oh! One last thing: my blog titled is FUN AND QUIRKY, because Darcie is the cutest thing ever in her flower crown diy video.
