Appreciation Society: They're all gonna laugh at you

To get in the Halloween spirit (a little late I know) I thought I should talk about one of my favorite movies. Conveniently it also goes with the obsession posts.
Obsession happens to be a theme in a lot of my favorite movies- which is funny because I've never really noticed it until I started working on this post. Okay, let's get started. Carrie (1976) is one of my favorite movies for a million different reasons. First off it's based off of a Stephen King book and all of the movies I've seen based off his books are pure genius. The whole movie is visually stunning (color choice, costume, props, houses, etc.) and I really love the story line. Throughout the movie you follow Carrie who is teased and ridiculed because she's "weird" (in the book it makes more sense because she is described as fat and ugly). It doesn't make any sense to me because the beautiful Sissy Spacek plays her in the movie (it also doesn't make sense to me in the book because I just don't understand why people bully others). You find out the popular people are the meanest to her and they basically become obsessed with teasing her. When I first watched the movie it made me so mad, because not only do people bully Carrie, but her mom bullies her too. It's in a different way, because Carrie's mother believes she is a heathen (her mother is very religious) and it's just really awful. But anyways, if you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it.
spoiler alert: the pictures below spoil some of the important parts of Carrie. (mainly the first gif)

So you can't really tell from the pictures above (because I'm incapable of finding sufficient pictures), but the fashion in Carrie is really amazing. It's in the 1970's so there's high waisted jeans, pleated skirts, tight t-shirts, and attractive prom dresses (there's a lot more but you don't want to hear me ramble about them). For a while I wasn't really sure what else to do with this post but the other day I finally had an epiphany (about time!). The pictures below are taken by yours truly (so that's why they aren't that great)
